New Haven "Don" Walnut Mantle Clock

    Picked this clock up today New Haven "Don" Walnut mantle clock. Should clean up pretty good. Signed New Haven 30 hour time and strike movement. Dial has the Feb 11 1879 patent and pendulum has the 1881 patent. Glass looks okay little loss and the label is pretty much intact. I would imagine it dates to around 1880's. Only paid $20.00 for it.

    interesting clock - is that a thermometer in the pendulum?

    It's an indicator used in adjusting the pendulum for time keeping.

    That's cool, I've never seen one before. I saw a NH steeple clock with mercury pendulum at the estate sale Friday that was cool, but i've never started collecting that species of clocks.
