It’s Waterbury movement 21 right? Would it be worth 100 plus when finished?

The weights are replaceable but you also need the complete movement.

Do you think anybody here would have hat movement? What does the video mean by putting the hand closest the 12 due to the aesthetics?

You could list a request in the Parts Wanted section. Might get lucky and find someone who has or knows about one.
This movement was probably used in several models. If you could find a vintage Waterbury catalog it would be a good reference.
Not sure what his reference was about the aesthetics of the 12 position.

I think he just meant it looked tidier to have the hands at 12 when taking the photo.

You can test your clocks by shining a bright light on the dial for a few seconds and then take it to a dark place you can see it glow in the dark.
But you can generally tell just by looking at it. The markers will be raised and somewhat rough looking.

Nothing. It's a cheap clock not worth fooling with. But don't worry about it either. I've got several clocks with radioactive dials. And none of them gave me any concern about working on them. The limited exposure you would get is nominal.

No seriosly you dont need any special clothes, just take it apart if you wish to, just dont lick the dial and you will be fine.

How long does it glow for?
I am a little more careful of radium but I think your fine.
From my experience real radium lume, by now, after exposure to very bright lights only glows for a very short time, usually less than 10 seconds. Unless it's been mixed with fresh zinc oxide, then it glows all the time, light or not.

That wouldn't be a concern if you concentrated on 19th century American clocks.

If you have a smartphone there is an app I tried a while ago on all my old lume called gammapix, it uses the camera in the phone to detect radiation. It's a bit odd to set up and you have to cover the camera lens (I used black electricians tape) and then set the lens over the lume area and run the detection scan. Not the best instrument for it, but cheaper than a radiation detector or Geiger counter.

I was in the radiation protection field for a couple of decades, I just don't see how it's possible to detect alpha particles with a phone app, but I'm going to look up the app just because I want to see their claims.

Radium primarily emits alpha particles which can be blocked by your skin or even a piece of paper so it's not a hazard outside the body. The hazard to humans is internal by ingesting or inhaling dust particles. It's naturally occurring in the environment. I wouldn't be too worried but take some precautions like wearing disposable gloves while handling. Then dispose of the gloves before putting fingers in your mouth or handling food. Don't sand the dial to create dust or use compressed air that would spread the dust. Be sensible and you should be fine.

I did not think it would work when I tried it either but it seems too.
I believe it works using the light sensors in the camera the same way old camera film can be exposed by radioactive substances while in the dark.

Thanks for the suggestions. I used a different app similar of that for a bit cheaper and it seems to works fine using the electrical tape.

I have some close ups of some tools that came with this lot. What can I do with these?

A real hodge podge of tools. The lathe tail stock might be the only tool worth something, and better if you had the lathe it came off from. The last tool is a flaringtool for tubing used in auto repairs.

Looks like a few usable things in there the brass split stake might come in handy looks like there is a hand adapter for kwm reamers in the first pic, the blue thing is a Chinese watch glass or "crystal" press with no dies, a 3 pack of looks like watch oilers.

The one on the left of the crystal press? looks like a hand vise. Good for holding and manipulating small parts.
I may be wrong about the kwm hand tool after a second look it might just be a punch.

The one in the post by itself is the hand vise.
The first in post #91 is as I thought before a kwm hand bushing tool handle.
    KWM Style Hand Reamer Set
The second is a wooden watch case holder, usually put in the vise and holds watches for opening or closing the really tight backs without marking up the case.
3rd is a brass split stake.
4th is some kind of clamp?
5th is a handle for I'm not sure what.
