Hello fellow clockmakers, collectors and interested parties.

I am in desperate need a Kern Oval Glass dome.
Dimensions 7.25 inches tall x 7 inches wide x 4 inches deep.

I am looking for a second-hand one as new would be impossible to find and too expensive.

If anyone has one I can have in exchange for generous renumeration and also packing and postage I would be very grateful.

That's exactly wot I did 2 weeks ago. Bought one from Austria...asked the owner to pack carefully...in German as well..came poorly packed - surrounded by expanding foam in box it hardly fitted... yes you guessed it...broken dome.

AHHH...YES IT'S SO GOOD TO KNOW OUR POSTMEN ARE SOOOOOO CAREFUL AND UNDERSTANDING!!!!!

THAT'S WHY OUR JOBS ARE GOING ABROAD.

Now I've calmed down I decided to widen my search just in case some kind soul takes pity on my grovelling.

I'm pretty sure I saw one of these on Ebay last week. I usually use just "clock" as the search word and specify a lowest $ amount around $40. That eliminates most of the quartz crap. Many sellers have no idea what to call the clock they are selling other than "clock"

Try Merritts. They have a huge antique clock shop. The last time I was up there I needed a part for a Haller 400 Day Clock and although they didn't have what I needed they must have had at least 200 used Anniversary Clocks in their storeroom.Maybe there's a Kern on one of those shelfs.Give em a call.
Respectfully,
Bob Fullerton
