A gentleman brought me this in pieces in a box. I’ve gotten back together and running. Not sure about the two aluminum parts and there orientation. All help appreciated.

They began business in 1929 and went out of business in 1956.

Without looking closely, it looks like the chime rod arrestor. One might engage, (smooth), and one with teeth to hold the rods during transport or silent mode.
Agree with Tom. One arrests the hammers and the other stabilizes the chime rods.
