I borrowed a copy of Greg Frauenhoff's "History and Products of the Columbus Watch Company" from the NAWACC library and have been through it several times can't seem to find a match for this 18s lever set. colx.jpg

In my little booklet there are two grades which fit yours (Htg, 7 jewels, gilt): nos. 20 and 9. No. 20 is earlier (appears in price lists from 1891-92) and No. 9 later (listed in 1895 with other New Columbus mvts). A cut of no. 9 is shown and it has the later style regulator. Since yours has the earlier style regulator then it is most likely no. 20 (as Nathan already suggested). But this is just a best guess. Watch Cos. changed grades nos., added features without changing grade nos., and did other confusing things all in the attempt to sell watches.

Thank you both for your insights:clap: and my lack of sight. ;)

Greg, my apologies for misspelling your name in my original post. :screwball:
