I picked these clocks out of a relative's attic this past W/E. I looked through the 3 Vol. Set of "American Clocks" by T.D. Ly but came up empty. Could someone help?

The first two are Ansonia. The last one is a Seth Thomas.

Thanks,

Joe

Thanks Jack,
I appreciate the information and the speed at which it was delivered.
Now if I could only get them restored that quickly.

Regards,

Joe

Joe, you certainly found a treasure-trove there. Each one is unique in its own way, but I love the Seth Thomas. For some reason I am partial to that style clock, pretty carved wood.

They appear to be in good and complete condition. Probably only need a good cleaning and oiling. I would guess just stored away when electricity was available. I only wish I could have found things like that in this old house's attic. It was bare except for a bucket to catch a leak.

Hi Missy,

These clocks were accumulated by my father in law back in the 70s. They were in my brother in laws attic. He probably has 100 or more that are just gathering dust. I think the S/T came from Bookers Antiques in Meridian. He loved to shop there.

Joe

BTW all three are metal. The Blenhiem is cast brass, the Pompei is cast iron and the S/T is brass and spelter.

Thanks for explaining the case materials Joe. I couldn't quite tell from the picture and the base did look more metalic. I guess I just imagined it in a beautiful carved walnut since I have one that is shaped similar to it.
