I just acquired a French figural mantle clock at auction, and need help identifying the maker. On the rear plate is a marque that looks like a "seated lion" with it's head turned to the right, and the initials "LB", both contained inside a circle. Stamped on the suspension adjustment gear is the name DePose, but I don't think that is the maker. The clock itself is your basic plated spelter figural clock sitting on a wooden base, all under a glass dome. All serial number and assembly numbers stamped on the movement, pendulum and dial match.
If anyone can ID the maker and the approximate age from the description, I'd greatly appreciate the info. The clock and maker's stamp can be viewed at http://home.bellsouth.net/p/PWP-thesandsoftime
Regards,
Mike
