A customer brought this one in a couple of months ago. It was in terrible shape. It had gotten wet in a flood. Corrosion everywhere. No pendulum.i made the one on it. Bezel was black. Went through it, cleaned and painted it, and put in a new glass. Had to drill the holes in the glass for the hand and winding arbor.Fun! The hands are outside the glass. Can anyone Tell me who made it? What’s it called? I’ve never seen one like it.
Thanks, Will

Wouldn’t the glass have been domed originally, rather than flat, so the hands were behind the glass not in front of it?

An attractive clock and reminiscent of a cartel wall clock, I haven't seen a dial like that before.

The original glass was with the clock when I got it. It had a crack across the middle. It was flat with two holes drilled in it for the hand arbor and and winding arbor. I only cracked one more trying to drill the holes in the new glass. Used diamond hole drills under water. The hands are original.

i am a big fan of these french wall clocks. there is-i believe-a name for this style, but offhand i cannot think of what it is. seems to me that some of these wind by pulling a string once a week. looks like you did a fine job on that glass and case. i see them come up for auction now and again. for some reason, they never sell for anywhere near what i think they should.

Interesting clock, Will. Does the bezel screw on? I don't think I see a hinge, but then I might be missing something.
