COLUMBIA, PA: Pennsylvania Power Light (PPL) Electric Utilities gave the Silver Badge award to the Museum for our continued efforts in creating an energy-efficient workplace and Museum. Through PPL’s business energy efficiency program, we took responsibility for our energy use and it shows. We will display our new badge with pride on the front door of the Museum.

This honor was made possible because of the special assistance of our volunteers and members who contributed to replace the old lightbulbs with new LED lightbulbs. We especially thank two volunteers: Greg Gerhart, our volunteer of the year before he became an employee, and Cory Fritsch, who retrofitted the basement and some of the other support areas.

Thank you to all our members for being forward looking on our energy-saving program!
