This morning I almost finished my West Frisian stoolclock. It runs on chain at the moment, but it needs dark green rope which I already ordered. The dial is as good as it gets and I have decided to leave it this way. I only sealed it with a varnish which can be removed easely whenever needed in future. I think the painting on the dial is perfectly stabilized for many years to come. I already got some interest from a museum, seems it is a rare early bird. Most important is, I really loved this project. Thanks to all who advised me, this forum is a very nice place to meet friends!

It looks absolutely great, a much warmer look than the delft colouring.

Looks like you’ve done a great job with the dial. Lovely clock

Great job with the restauration! Looks absolutely beautiful. The pendulum seems to have a nice amplitude, too!
