Hi Guys,
These are pics of my clock. It is about 54 inches long, wooden body is 19 3/4 inches wide at pendulum level, and 14 3/4 width at clock face level. It has only one weight for both geartrains, and the clock has to be wound twice a day. It chimes every hour and half hour. No
name of maker or trademark is visible.
Respectfully request information on its age, maker and value if possible. Thank you so much.

Hi,

A handsome clock indeed. You no doubt know that Staartkloks such as yours are of Dutch origin and can seldom
be attributed to a specific maker, at least in the absence of a signature. There are people far better able to date these accurately than I, but I would suggest the first quarter of the 19th century, circa 1820 or so. Value depends on where you are in the world, I suppose. In France, 600-800€ would seem a fair estimate. Perhaps more? I hope others can provide further information.

Regards.
