Hi Everyone,

I just got this clock last night at an auction. There were lots of clocks there last night and I would have loved to bring home a couple of them, but this is the one I was fortunate enough to win. I looked up information on line but I thought I'd come to the experts. Can someone tell me the name of this clock? And what it's made of? I think it's iron. It's in good condition, but missing the pendulum and the key. There is damage to the keyhole by the eight probably from winding....at any rate any help in identifying would be helpful.

Thanks,

It's called the Royal, ca, 1901, and could have been offered a few years either side. The catalogue description (per Tran Duy Ly's book on Ansonia Clocks) says it's "Real Bronze."

Nice looking clock, too bad about the damage.

This dial is commonly available on Ebay and is easy to replace once the movement is out.
