My First, Hopefully

I think I have my first 22k English watch and case... The information I have indicates that but would
like some expert opinion... The case is marked as the photos show .. Letter date is rubbed but looks like the
London letter date for 1857.. Makers mark AS in an oval, which I feel is Alfred Stram.. Also incused IMC
which I believe is for James Mc Cabe ...the movement maker...

That is what Priestley has in the book so I'd be sure it tested at 22K.

Hi John,

A fine pocket chronometer, with some remnants of the original spotting finish on the top plate, although it does look as though it's been polished inappropriately, which is a pity. All the marks look absolutely right for McCabe.
