Bought at a local indoor flea market is my "new" Gilbert bim bam Chime Banjo clock! It's keeping time and has a beautiful sound. It does have a replacement cardboard dial! I might replace it one day! My cost was less than shipping on ebay! :nutjob:

Looks like you are right! My wife and I took it down and it does have the New Haven label! :lightbulb: Don't know how I missed that! He said it was a Gilbert! :D Now the question, which is a better clock, Gilbert or New Haven? :argument:

If Tran Duy Ly's books are any indication, New Haven offered a wider variety of banjo clocks than Gilbert. Some of those New Haven clocks, including those with 30 day, weight driven, and Westminster chime movements, would be considered more collectible than most Gilbert banjo clocks. However, I don't think there would be a significant difference in quality if you were comparing New Haven and Gilbert banjo clocks with similar dimensions and movements.
