So I have noticed on this clock I am currently fixing when the music box plays there is a constant ticking sound from start to finish. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know no thanks ahead of time. I have included in this post a video which you can hear it when it plays.

The brake wire shouldn't be between the lever that stops the drum. It should above it I believe. Don't have one in front of me.

I looked it over again and it seems that the brake is correct it moves out of the way and leaves plenty of room. Now being over powered I have the weight at 275. In conclusion the noise to me seems to come from a gear on the governor but was not 100% sure that is something.

It's a pretty fast repeat, so I would check the pinion gear. Probably cracked plastic.

There are presently two sizes of these little plastic gears/pinions available. Last ones I bought were from BFI @ 26 bucks for 5. On some you will have to replace the whole governor and that's a 'crap shoot' too. Willie X

When you order a governor, how do you know what to order? I've done it and have had to file holes etc. but it's a pain to get everything lined up.
