NATIONAL WATCH AND CLOCK MUSEUM NAMED THE GLATFELTER AGENCY’S 2017 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR

COLUMBIA, PA: The Glatfelter Agency named the National Watch and Clock Museum its 2017 nonprofit organization of the year. Glatfelter employees raised funds through their many projects, and representatives from the insurance group recently presented a $6,070 gift to the Museum.

“The generosity of the Glatfelter Agency’s staff will allow for the introduction of new technology to the Museum. It will enable us to expand our educational offerings and relate to a generation of learners who have grown up using advanced technology in their learning. It is the first step of many that we hope to take in improving the Museum to provide modern and innovative educational opportunities,” said Museum Director Noel Poirier.

The Glatfelter Agency has a long-standing commitment to supporting area activities that help make the community a better place to live, learn, and grow. Founder Art Glatfelter was a leader and well-known philanthropist in the area. He founded the Cultural Alliance of York County and the United Way Tocqueville Society, and he contributed to many other local organizations.

Glatfelter has continued over the years to maintain a strong commitment to strengthening area communities. Glatfelter’s culture of service and its desire to make a meaningful social impact is at the heart of all its community involvement initiatives.
