Hello all,
I am new to the forum and just getting started in clock repair, restoration, and building new cases for orphan movements. I have already repaired and restored 5 movements and would really like the help of this group.
Right now I am trying to identify the movement that goes into the Ansonia regulator case I purchased for restoration. Pictures are attached. The case is a long one, and the pendulum is ~24 inches and hangs from a bracket on the top back of the case. I have found this described as a "standard" regulator, but I'm not sure what movement to look for. I'm not clear on how the pendulum interacts with a movement. Any help you could give me in identifying the movement I should be looking for (or better, if you have one) I'd appreciate.

I can't help with the movement, but the crutch of the movement should have a small finger that goes into that little brass slot on the pendulum stick. That's how the movement and pendulum connect. The 4 holes in the wood back suggest a rectangular movement that was screwed to ythe back board of the case. Won't be an easy movement to find.

Thanks. I wondered if that was the purpose of the slot.

Here's a link to one on worthpoint. Not sure if it is shown for value or for sale as I am not a member of Worthpoint. I also attached a photo I found along with a picture from Trans' "Ansonia clocks & watches" book.
