I would appreciate anyone's help by providing me with information on this watch. I have attached photos'
Under the balance wheel (some one told me that's what it is called) I found AS 1783. I have checked the net but no luck. I am guessing that the watch is from the 1980-1990 period because of when the store closed.
It is running steady as she goes except the hour hand does not move but it does when setting the time?

The AS mark is that of Adolph Schild, of Grenchen (Switzerland).

Thank you all. I have checked the web site provided and I see that the pictures provided are identical to my watch except the 25 jewels.
Something special maybe? I have attached a brighter photo.

There could have been variants of your movement which the owner of the linked web site, is unfamiliar with.

Also, Mondaine was likely a big enough player that they could have placed a special order with the movement supplier. Mondaine could also have up-jewelled stock movements, it's a common practice for watch companies to variously massage, blue print &/or modify the movements which they source.
