Does anyone know the correct mainspring for a Molnija 3602 18 jewel pocket watch? Where would the best place be to get one?

Thanks!

I may have one for you. I have a couple of Molnija movements, tho I think they are seventeen jewel. Will check and send pic of mainspring barrel and dimensions, if I can find them.

Thanks!

The old mainspring is 0.15mm thick and 1.84mm wide. It looks like the barrel is 13.6mm dia inside and 14.6 dia outside with an inside depth of 2.33mm.

Look at the photo and see if it's what you need. I could only find one of the two movements I have. No time to disassemble it now, but the barrel diameter is roughly 16.1mm. The serial # ought to tell you.
I'll send it to you if you need it, for the cost of postage. m1.jpg

Hello... I used to collect Molnijas. I still wear a converted(?) one as a big show-off wristwatch. I have never seen Molnija mainsprings (or indeed any other Molnija consumables) offered for sale. However ebay is awash with complete Molnija watches (and other brands using the same basic 3602 15/18J movement) at what seems like a reasonable price.
I have never seen one stamped anything like the one in the photo. I'm sure it has a tale to tell...

Jules Borel sells parts for these movements.
