I am looking for the Bulletin article about the person who made the detents for the model 21. Can anyone
recall the Bulletin number an date?

There is an article in the January/February 2012 Bulletin, page 57.

"The Man Who Saved the Hamilton Model 21 Ship's Chronometer"

By William R. Smith about his friend, Van Hoesen and manufacture of detents.

Hope this is what you're looking for.

I really like that story. It supports my views about craftsmanship and engineering. :)
