I recently purchased a Waltham 1904 because I didn't have one, it is a 14 size movement. I know these are an evolution after the 1888, 1895 and 1897 models. The issue with this movement was the mainspring was broken, someone had adapted a different spring and folded it over to catch the hook, the size is identical to the 2218 spring so no issue there. The center wheel cannon pinion arbor was broken off, the gear is the same size as the 1888 but the lower plate arbor is .078 inch in diameter while the 1888 arbor is .100 inch. There are no catalog listings for parts for these primarily export movements so I am wondering if I will need to find a donor movement, few and far between these days or if someone has an extra wheel. The serial number is 19155530 if that is any help. 7 jewels, OF, Bond St grade.

I will look tomorrow, I'm fairly certain that I have a few 1904 parts movements.
