Missing seat board screws

Hey all,

My PHS clock came to me with no seatboard screws (thankfully the movement didn't self-destruct the clock during shipping). I'm not sure how to measure the TPI on the movement posts where the seatboard screws would mount (and I'm not sure where I could source new seatboard screws). Any suggestions on what I should do? I attempted to find a threaded nut in my parts bin that would fit, but none of them have the correct TPI to thread properly.

Thanks in advance.

Just keep looking, you will probably need to be looking at metric screws? The usual suppliers usually show a few.

No one knows what you have there without a photo or two. Willie X

As a temporary measure, there is always the possibility of using a thinner screw with a nut on the top of the pillar post.
That may buy some time till you locate the correct screw.

You'll have to look into getting new screws made by a local machinist or hardware store.
When I had new screws made, they were sometimes just a hair too large. Easiest way to make them fit was to
drive them into their thread with an oversize screwdriver. This milled down the new screws so they fit snug.
