Searched the board and couldn't find anything for this so I've posted this article I came across on the restoration and redevelopment of Michigan Central Station which is interesting in itself but also has a horology side to it. The original station clock which was mounted on the covered roof over the carriage entrance like many things was looted over time as the building was abandoned when trains stopped running in 1988 but following the purchase of the building by Ford it was anonymously returned as have been a number of items. It may hopefully one day be re-installed or just go on display, looks like a mother of all clock restoration projects.

    A very interesting article
I think the old saying "where there is a will there is a way" could apply to the clock
