I have just finished updating the NAWCC Membership Status for the Message Board. Everyone should see their correct membership status under you avatar when posting a message. If any are not working correctly please let me know. I have not updated the awards yet, only the membership. Awards are coming.
The "Donor" and "Sponsor" flags have to do with contributions to the message board. If I'm not mistaken, the Donor flag indicates that a donation of any amount was made in the past 12 months. The Sponsor flag indicates at least $50 has been donated in the past 12 months.
The answer to Ethan's question is that updating these things requires me to run some programs that I wrote to do the updates. I have not run those programs for several months although it is my intent to run them regularly and eventually automate them. The problem is a volunteer who is getting old and over committed.

Fellow and Star Fellow are the awards for scholarship and service to the NAWCC. The nominating form gives the general criteria. Click on it to view. The membership levels are a combination of benefits and donation. The amounts and benefits are described on the main site at this link https://nawcc.org/index.php/component/content/article/382. The Gibbs, Blackwell, Fried and Moore awards are for contributions in writing, clockmaking, watchmaking and curatorial work that deserves special recognition. They are given upon nomination and acceptance by Board of Directors after review by the Awards Committee. The Pritchard Award recognizes an outstanding and well documented watch conservation/restoration project and carries a cash prize as well as the award recognition. Tom, are the Committee Chair designations added manually, or do they come from the membership list? I just noticed this recently and wasn't sure.
The structural titles are manual. We now have private areas of the message board where committees may conduct the private committee business, so the names from those rosters can be used if requested.
Tom,for a couple of weeks I´ve noticed that my yellow "member" flag has a kind of grey shadow in it. Have I missed something or is it just the fault of my (admittedly old) computer? TIA for an answer Best regards Burkhard
The gray indicates lapsed status as noted by Kurt. When one's dues payment is late the status is changed to lapsed for a short period rather than non-member. If you have paid your dues it may have been received after I did the update a couple of weeks ago. Dues notices are sent out two months in advance and one can renew online, which is what I normally do.
