    Neat article! Too bad that school she attended closed down. Her instructor still offers courses in Columbia. :)

    Just for my general interest, why do they call her a "clock whisperer"? Is that a horological term, ot just a bit of literary cleverness?

    I am sure it is just a play on the well known movie "The Hose Whisperer." The term has come to mean anyone who can communicate with something the rest of us cannot. Or, at least much better than the rest of us can. In the case of clocks I presume it refers to listening to the whispers rather than speaking to the clock in whispers. I have occasionally kissed a clock to try to make it feel better. :) (It doe not really work.)
