Hi, it's Hookster back after leaving the Message Board for about a year and a half. I need a floating balance for a 50s version Mauthe Chimer. It is for an original Mauthe movement, not one of the later ones that were farmed out to Hermle, which of course used their balance. I tried cannibalizing a Hermle balance to remove the guts and insert it into the Mauthe balance frame but it is too short and doesn't mesh with the fork.

Had a bad concussion that took about a year to fully get over. Other than that all is well. Plus, for a while, I get getting malware alerts from the old Message Board, which scared me away from posting. I understand that any such issues are all now cleared up.
