I have a pocket watch with the following numbers. In the case 06287 and in the workings 927038. The dial appears to be a little fancy with simple gold inlaid between the numbers.

Can anyone tell me about this watch and perhaps approx. value? Many thanks.

I can tell you that Marvin Watch Co., Springfield is a Swiss mark that attempts to appear to be an American watch. They are generally better quality than other watches of the genre. The Marvin name was also used a few years later on mid grade wristwatches that were clearly marked Swiss.
