    Ogee Clock,c. 1843, Hills Goodrich & Company. 8-day brass time and strike movement. Weight driven with recoil escapement. Cast iron backplate. Movement enclose in canister behind dial. Label inside reads, ”Brass Eight-Day Clocks Made and Sold by Hills, Goodrich & Co. Plainville, Con.” OG case has gilded columns and splat inside case behind glass. Columns flank the zinc dial and splat is on top of it. Mirrored sides also flank dial behind the glass. Reverse painted glass door depicts ship at sea with the words ”Ship Grand Turk/At Canton 1786.” 86938.jpg 86939.jpg 86940.jpg
