• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

Hi -
I'm trying to find out who made the clock in the pictures attached. I don't have access to the clock (it's on the other side of the country) but I've received these pictures. Clearly, its time and hourly strike are driven off the same spring, which is a big clue, I'm sure, to those who have far more experience in the field than I do. Thanks for help sleuthing this one.

Others far more knowledgeable can confirm or deny, but I'd guess Boston Clock Company, tandem-wind, circa 1890.

Thanks to all and I'll let the owner know. I understand now that there are two springs on one arbor. Tricky to let down, I'm guessing.
