Making your own liquid hide glue

    I did experiment with making my own hide glue. Used a rawhide donut at the pet store. The kind you give to your dog to chew on.
    Cut up small pieces, and boiled it in a small saucepan. Let it simmer for several hours. It was usable and did work. But can't say it was proper consistency. Just don't know.

    Are there benefits to making your own, when you can just buy it ?

    Very interesting video. I also watched his strength test video, and was quite surprised (as was he), at how the super glues did in his tests.
