Any one know this this movement ?
Looks Like a cuckoo Regula but not.
    its in a
    Dutch Zaanse Warmink Wuba clock.
also look at the front plate looks like it could take barrels in the slots.
    Also its a free swinger

How thick of a suspension spring do you think it needs, and maybe what it should look like ?

I'll add that this model Schatz was quite variable and used in heaps of Dutch clocks.

Yes, barrels fit in the slots. Isn't this the same movement you asked about in another thread?

Steven Thornberry must not have read the thread I did in "CLOCK REPAIR".
CAUSE I asked some clock repair questions in the CLOCK REPAIR section !

Tell me what you think it needs. Have a play at pushing the great wheel around with your finger to see what happens?

    Hi Teaclocks,
this is a dutch stoeltjes clock. Normaly they don't need a suspension spring. The hook of the pendulum goes in top of the cabinet to a metal swing.

    Yes.
But the movement is still a basic Schatz/Dutch partnership thing that lasted many years.

    a metal swing isn't a suspension?
people often are confused about the 'spring' part of the suspension.

and yet it all started off thinking Regula?

That's a trapeze suspension, like found in cuckoo movements. No spring needed. Those movements are very much like the Regula movements, with some variation.

    Thank you so much.
The one on the left was in it, so I made the one on the right, and it didn't seem to work so I did what is in the picture of it on a test stand and it does work,
BUT I will make the swing work.
    thank you again
