I just noticed that the subject was broadened to cover general construction. I look forward to seeing everyone's projects. I built the project clock Mike Dempsey developed, and that gave me the confidence to try something more complex. I am currently working on WR Smith's Lyre skeleton clock. I have the plates, posts and dial completed, and am now working on some smaller bridges and pieces. I keep my South Bend lathe in the garage, so am waiting for warmer weather to hopefully get the barrel and feet done this summer. I will try and post pictures ;)

    Ed,
We would love to see your progress on the Lyre skeleton clock. This project is on my list of cool clocks I want to build some day. I understand it has an interesting escapement and hope to find out more about it.
    Thanks,
    Allan
