I have a basket case woodworks movement in for repair, but it's really beyond help. Several gears were replaced with a bakelite material and the verge was replace with a brass strip. It was remade in the 60's but really looks like it's at the end. Anyone have a complete tall case 30 hour for sale?

You didn't say by whom. A different maker than yours may need a matching dial. I do have some parts/wheels etc. that might resolve your issues

The dial is unmarked. The movement only has a seconds bit; no calendar setup. Here are some pics

That's a weird movement! It seems all the strike wheels are missing and the plates are replacements, made from plywood. Probably indeed best to look for a fitting replacement.

I took the strike train out to work on the time train only, but yes, it's a mix of old and new stuff and just doesn't work anymore.
