The logo ISGUS on the gong is that of Schlenker-Grusen Co., founded in Schwenningnen in 1888 and went out of business quite recently. The logo MS on the back plate of the movement is that of the Müller-Schlenker Co., founded in Schwenningen in 1879 and went bankrupt in 2000.

The length of the pendulum is stated on the back plate, P.Lg (=Pendellänge) 114 [cm].

As for the date, I would suppose your clock dates from the period between 1910 and 1920.

Others may know more.

Hello Kelly,

Just a few thoughts, none that I'm certain about.

Time and strike, German 1920's-30s. Nice looking dial and pendulum bob. Probably nothing missing from the top…unless you see evidence of it. The M over S logo – there are a couple similar on Mikrolisk, but within a circle, belonging to Muller and Schlenker.

The weight inserts would probably have been steel. You could experiment with any weight to find the minimum that would function correctly for each train…but no point doing that until you correct any wear issues. The P-Lg.114 could be the pendulum length in cm, in this case, from where the suspension spring flexes to the bottom of the bob.

I see that JTD has beaten me to it and he knows way more than I, but what the hell, I'll post any way.

I am sure this movement was made after 1920.
There is an earlier movement with the DUFA signature. The name DUFA appeared in 1920.
