Looking for additional resources to service English fusee watches

Looking for additional resources to service English fusee watches. I am currently aware of two horologists that are excellent at not just servicing but repairing fusee watches. The problem is both of them are backed up six months or more. If anyone has any recommendations please share. Several years ago I contacted a horologist who is a member of this group and advertises on our website. I will not give his name, but I sent him a fusee to service. It was in working order. He kept it for 11 months, charged me $450, and it came back running five minutes fast per hour. That is why I am looking for recommendations from fellow members who have had their watches serviced.

Urologists backed up. Sounds disastrous. No peezing.


Have you thought to contact your horologist and ask for the watch to be regulated?

I am afraid that 5 minutes fast in a hour is not a matter of mere regulating ...

Agree, however it could be as simple as magnetism or some oil on the hairspring, clinging two coils together.

I agree the problem should be addressed to the watchmaker performing the service however considering the OP statement::

I think it could now be a bit too late.

Hopefully the watch can easily be fixed even if it today may be time for a new service..........
