Looking for a Hermle 2571-850 Night Time Shut off Lever

I am working on a clock for a customer...it is a Hermle 2571-850 movement in a Sligh clock. The face of the clock has a night time shut off switch but there is no lever on the movement to attach the switch to. It appears that it was there at one time, but is now missing. I checked Timesavers and Clockworks, but was not able to locate one on their sites.

Is there anyone on here who might have a spare one they would like to sell? I checked all my "parts" movements but I don't have any Hermle movements with night time shut off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 2571-850 was the same base movement as the Hermle 1171-850, so I would expect it uses the same night shutoff lever.
The big difference with the 2571-850 is that it plays musical chimes on the hour. Ode to Joy, Ave Maria, or Westminster chimes.

Clockworks has the Hermle 1171-850 in stock however they don't list any spare parts.
See if MARK A. BUTTERWORTH has any spare levers.

It's odd that this would be missing. Did you look good in the bottom of the clock? This is always a long shot but pays off every once in a while.

Ya...that was the first thing I did...nothing in the bottom...they said they got it at an auction and you know how rough those auction guys are on clocks...

The silent levers can gradually work themselves loose and sometimes they just weren't tight enough when new.
Quality control on the larger Hermles could be a mixed bag, but having the musical chimes is a real treat.
The skeletal dial center is another perk. You can watch the movement's innards in action when it chimes.

The lever is a simple brass strip held in with a rivet or screw. It may be easy enough to make a new one if no spares turn up.

It appears to be a strike silence lever. As J.A. mentioned, it should be easy to figure out and reproduce. I would suspect it just keeps the rack from falling.

That was not just a shutoff lever. It was an auto nite off system. You are also missing more parts. There was a cam wheel on the post to the right of the center shaft. I sold quite a few of those Sligh clocks back in the day. Sligh was one of my primary clocks that I stocked. That movement was made for Sligh after Howard Miller bought the Keinenger co. Sligh was using their movements to make a better clock than HM. After Sligh quit making clocks in 2005 the 2571 was discontinued and replaced with the 1171. There should be parts available. Peter
