an intertesting watch found its way into the workshop of my watchmaker : it´s an 3rd quarter 18th cent. verge of classical design , completely unjeweled , with a Tompion silver regulator disc , a plain white enamel dial with black roman numerals and a seconds subsidiary dial above the VI ( 1-60 ) and a date subsidiary (1-31) below the XII .
The movement is signed S. Rivanail 1811 London , the dial bears S and p left and right from the center. Silver standard case of english origin (sorry I forgot to look up the hall-marks ) Any ideas about the maker?
Sorry , no pics at the moment , perhaps later...
TIA
Burkhard
