Wazza, the photo is not clear enough to see the three parts well, however, the wheel with the snail on it probably has two two pins on the back of it that lift the long pointed lever causing the clock to strike (not chime) on the hour and once on the half hour. Move that lever to the right slightly and see if it actuates the strike wheels (train). If it does, you should be ok once you get the three parts (motion works) back on properly. Post a close up clear photo of those parts and we can help you get them back on.
When I lift the lever at the top it activates the strike. The cog to the right of centre has a pin on the back, should that pin be above or below the lever under it
The center wheel with the pins goes on the center arbor. Then the wheel on the bottom goes on top of that wheel. Then the lever on top of your photo goes on the plate with a screw holding it to the plate. The end of that lever with the hole in it goes on the small wheel on the plate. That lever holds all of those wheels in place if you do it in that order.
Thanks, I know where they go, what I don't know is the timing, the cog to the right of the centre , the one on the clock, has a pin on the back of it, does the pin go above or below the shaft at the back of the cog
You will have to figure that out by putting it together and turning the minute hand till it warns and strikes. At that point the hand must be either at 12 or 6. If it is not, move the motion work wheels so it does strike at the right time.
