I want to ask you to help set up the wall clock, this made
I would be very grateful.
Welcome to the message board.
George Everett has published a book titled, "Lenzkirch Clocks: The Unsigned Story" and based on his work your clock is from about 1888. There haven't been any formal production records found so all dates are estimations based on what is known but that should get you pretty close. BTW I have a copy of that book and I found it very informative about the history of Lenxkirch.
Hope this helps,
You might want to read my article in the September/October 2014 Bulletin, "Lenzkirch Secrets Revealed". Your movement is a 26 series movement with serial number 61648. It is a second movement indicated by the large 2 stamped between the serial number and the series number 26. Lenzkirch ran a second series of serial numbers for 100,000 clocks and yours is one of those 100,000 clocks. I believe these 100,000 clocks were made sometime between 1875 and 1878. As Walt said, it is hard to determine an exact date that Lenzkirch clocks were made because production records were lost.
Enjoy your Lenzkirch clock!
Thank you very much Walt.
I read with pleasure this book, how to do it?
Thank you very much.
I read your article, I liked
