Nice to expand the wristwatch section on John's advice thought I'd add one I let go some years back. Anyhow, I have the pictures. Could not bring myself to wear it much. Condition was really nice, maybe far better than nice, and I believe the rarer model.
Although not gold. But it ran like a champ. Doug

What a great post. I love Futurematics. I don't think I have ever seen one exactly like the one posted by Douglas. I will dig one out and take a picture but mine is much more typical.

The only movement I know of that actually locks the bumper when fully would rather than a slipping mainspring with a bridle. Always an expensive and rare watch.

It is a good idea to read up on these before diving in. A local repair shop here screwed one of these up while letting down the mainspring ( I gained a customer). Another tip is to try to acquire the movement holder made by Le Coultre especially for servicing these . Regular holders can’t hold them properly.-Cort
