• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

Picked this up over the weekend. It had the wrong pendulum but I have a correct one. I love the cut leaded crystal dome!

Nice! I was watching that one.

There is another posted somewhere on the board here with the same dome and its matching glass base.

Not a particularly big fan of 400day clocks, but I do very much like this one, very Art Nouveau. Enjoy! Look forward to seeing an original pendulum, and it running :)

Thanks Eric, I found the one you were talking about. I was hoping the wood base was original. Form the looks of it the tops are harder to find. I didn't think I would ever see another and I was at the auction so I got a good look at it first. I try to focus on unusual pendulums so the pendulum that was with it while wrong, I didn't have. I have the right clock to match it with so I feel like I got two rare clocks.

Most of the clocks on my wish list now are on there for the pendulums.

Were there any markings on the pendulum that came with the clock?

Thanks Karl,

Mine is marked the same. The RD number is for the British Board of Trade, Registered Design.

Bump, John Hubby did you see my PM regarding this clock? We spoke about the base at the national. Thanks.
Karl, for whatever reason I apparently didn't receive your PM, just checões all the way back to the date of origin of this thread and no luck. Also this is the first time I've seen the thread . .. yikes!!

You have one of the most rare early 400-Days, simply because of the dome and not for the clock itself. In fact the base now with the clock is not original, but would have been also of molded glass. As it turns out, I have one of these that has the base but no dome. I'll take a photo and post here, I don't recall at the moment whose movement is with it. More later with the photos.

Also, please post a clear closeup photo of the stamping on the back plate so it can be properly identified.

But with inspection holes and what appears to be a serial number at the very bottom.

Thanks John. I’d love to make it a complete clock. Here is the backplate. The serial number appears to have been added later.
