working out of town stoped in the local antique mall I saw a lot of stuff way out of my price range, but this one caught my eye with a sticker of $18.00 and then the owner droped it to $12.00 I just couldn't say no
it needs a new suspension spring and bottom bock, the part that the bottom block fits into was bent and when I tried to straighten it broke.I supper glued it not sure if that will hold?
the broken suspension measured .0035 and looked to be original as the spring gard screws were very tight with no marks no them
would anyone know where I can buy the bottom block hook it is the threaded type that just screws on thank you for any help TOM 86734.jpg 86735.jpg 86736.jpg

Nice find! That's the price range I play in, I would have grabbed it. The hook? If that super glue doesn't hold, I'd try an epoxy. If that didn't hold, I'd be drilling and tapping a small screw or something. I'm sure more expert advice will come along, I'm just a junk yard clock maker...."Make 'er work!"

You're real close :) The correct spring is .0032". Your clock dates from the early '50's. Forget about any kind of glue holding that pendulum hook. It probably just screws off, and you might find a member here who has one they'd let you have for little money. If not, they're not too hard to make. You probably don't have a lathe, but again, someone here might be able to help.

Try WWW.merritts.com for all suspension spring parts and / or assemblies. prices are real competitive ---- their catalog covers most clocks and
the sales people (1 800 345 4101) are most helpful
