Picked this up at the most recent Chapter 77 meeting. I only have a few by Kern so I haven't spent much time studying them and I don't know much about them. This exact plate isn't in the guide, but 1340D looks closest.

What would be the date range for it?

I have a similar Kern although the face is more silver rather than gold. As far as I can tell, your back plate looks like mine with the "K u S S IV". I identified my plate as 1345, but mine has Kern and Sohne stamps as well, so different than yours. I was never able to identify a date. Would this site be of help?

    Kurt,

Well from that page we can see that "S IV" is the model series. Also the two examples shown with the same pendulum (546G and 548R) were in production from 1967 to 2006.
