Latest project complete. I'm not really big on electric clocks. I'd rather work on old wind-up, but I couldn't resist this one. Late 1940's - early 50's Telechron. Was outside then taken out of service years ago and stored. This clock has a 24" dial. It was outside of a gas station or shop. Owner wanted it to look and run like new. Dial was stripped and repainted (not me - done on outside). Since the old Telechron motor was burnt, frozen, and looked as though someone had tinkered with it a long time ago, I installed a new German High Torque quartz movement to cut down the weight and cost. Neon glass tube lighting was broken and shorted out, so installed flexible neon tube lighting. New glass installed on the face. Here it is from beginning to end. 6 weeks to finish. Delivered today.
