I have had this for a few years but due to several house moves it has been in storage. It is now up and running. I was surprised to find that it is a14 day movement. I am thinking Pendule de Paris circa 1880 but there is no maker. As you can see it is large and the original glass is almost perfect ( one small nibble at the base ) The inscription reads Leblanc a boulogne. I am assuming that this was the retailer but apart from one advertisement I can find no information on this name. has anyone any ideas about maker or retailer?

Thanks for posting this. The maker dates 1835 to late 19c per Brian Loomes Watchmakers and Clock Makers of the World. I recently restored one almost exactly like yours, and I didn't know it originally had a glass dome.

Thanks for that. Do you know if Leblanc is the maker or just the retailer ? The dome is spectacular, the largest that I have seen. Regards Roy
