I found this at an outdoor book market and wondered if anyone else is interested in this book.

It was published in 1984 by Technicmedia Editions in Besancon ISBN 2-905477-00-8

It is the history, methods, techniques, tools, and application of the cylinder escapement. I am working my way through it and winder if anyone is interested.

A quick check shows that the book is available from the NAWCC Library.

My initial impression is that this is the mother lode for anyone interested in repair or study on these.

Actually I just posted a thread requesting book suggestions about escapements. Sounds up my alley!

Can you tell me more about it?

Ooopps! I should have replied much much sooner.

The book is large and detailed and covers everything you could want to know on the subject but it is in French, It has a lot of illustrations so the language is not as much of a barrier is a text only would be.

A large part of the book is a history of a town that specialized in making these. See this thread.

    Pateck Geneve Cylinder 4 Rubis?

This is by far t4h most comprehensive treatment I have seen.
