I recently picked up this Kundo Oval at a garage sale. It came with a bag of paperwork, key and this item I cannot identify. Does it even belong with the clock? I have had several of these clocks but have never seen one of these. Beat setting tool ?? Let me know what you all think. sorry about the blurry shot.

I'm not sure how that would work. The clock has a locking lever. would this thing somehow lock the lever in place?

I'd put that gizmo in the junk drawer and rely on the very elegant pendulum lock on the clock. When shipping one of these, I put a safety pin through the hole in the arresting lever to prevent it from becoming unlocked during transit.

I had one arrive where that locking lever had come loose. So something to lock the locking lever would be a good idea,

Kundo made several attempts at locking levers. This clip was one of those. I'd just store it under the base.

This is the first version:

These were replaced by the lever below the support plate.
