Kundo anniv. 9" won't run

I got to admit, something in my lizard brain didn't sit well with the 12 beat number- I quickly timed it with the stopwatch app on my phone and it was so close to five revolutions a min that I decided it was pretty close. I had to go to a wedding this afternoon and just got back. From 3:00 pm to now (9:30 pm) it has lost about 4 mins with the adjustment set all the way fast.

Could the escapement pallet adjustment being a little off cause this, or should I be looking for a .0024" suspension spring?

It is not likely the escapement unless it is fluttering
and skipping teeth.
New spring is the most likely solution.

Got a new .0024" suspension spring, and the horolovar 400 day clock book. Read all about the escapement and decided to adjust it. I adjusted the pallets and removed and reinstalled four times until it was escaping what I consider much better. Now, it is running much stronger with even action. Going to attempt to regulate it again with the .0024" spring. I'll report back.

I am able to regulate it now- its within a few minutes over a period of a few days. I was sneaking up on it and overshot the adjustment- so I know I'm near now. Thanks for everyone's help.
