Well I just acquired this off of Ebay K&O plate1355 serial # 26951 It appears to be all original missing the suspension and the anchor is a minor joke eye screw. But it has a wonderful original heavy glass dome. So here are a few pictures.

Hi Les,

That's a nice one. I have the same model in green that I purchased from a seller in Arizona.

Actually mine came from Higley. It's in really good shape and complete too. Just needs repainted.

I've not encountered any of this model with a painted base. Pendulum balls, support columns, and dials painted only.

I have a similar clock, although different plate 1151. The logo is Geo. Borgfeldt and higher serial number but all else seems the same. No painted base...mine is red.

What paint did you use?

Yes, would like to know the paint and your technique to cover the brass!

I think I notice that one of the fasteners that hold the movement onto the lintel seems a bit off vertical. I fight this when I reassemble a clock...I take some pains to make sure that the lower plate pillars are rotated to the best position...I use the fasteners to hold the pillars in place while I tighten the front plate screws. That usually keeps the pillars locked into position.

You did a great job restoring your clock. I have the same model I bought several years ago from John Hubby. Needless to say, the clock runs perfectly. :)

The paint I used is Dupli-Color, this is available at Most Auto Parts Stores. I used paint remover and then a light sanding and 3 coats of paint.
