Parts definitely missing. Most seem to have a brass coverLooks as if there's no suspension?
Buy 'THE BOOK', even if you are planning on repairing just one 400-Day clock. Any addition is good, old or new. Teriwiggler (sp) is the author.
Thanks willieAll will have the delicate 'suspension wire'. Most will have (or had) some type of cover over this wire.

This book is the 'price of admission' into the wonderful world of 400-Day clocks.
Good luck, Willie X

Horolovar 400-Day Clock Repair Guide
Publisher: Horolovar Co.
There are many editions - the latest one I have the 10th edition of 1991, but there may well be later editions.

Yes I noticed that. Thanks very much for the information. The serial number is needed to get a close date. It had a suspension guard too so that will narrow it down some, 1927 or later.
The ratchet spring on the back is not engaged with the pawl. Be very careful if you try to wind it without fixing the spring first. You could end up with very hurt fingers!
